After taking the month of July off to host the BLUFSF 16th Annual IN GEAR Dinner, we returned to the Bolt in Sacramento for the August Edition of BLUFSF CUERO.
This month, we changed things up and had TWO beneficiaries: Familia – Trans Queer Liberation Movement (TQLM) and the Sacramento Leather Guard (SLG).
Familia: TQLM works at local and national levels to achieve the collective liberation of trans, queer, and gender nonconforming Latinxs through building community, organizing, advocacy, and education.
The Sacramento Leather Guard (SLG) started up this year with a debut in the Sacramento Pride parade. The Guard’s goal is to present flags at area LGBTQ+ and Leather events.
The cache of prizes contained books, posters, Leather gear, and more. We raised a total of $430.00 for the night’s beneficiaries. SLG received $130.00 to help obtain harnesses and flagpoles to form a complete Color Guard. Familia: TQLM received $300.00 that was donated on Sunday, August 2nd.

The next edition of BLUFSF CUERO will be Saturday, September 5th at the Bolt. This will be a special birthday edition as we celebrate SIR Wolf and boy Zander’s birthdays! We will host dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory before CUERO. RSVP is recommended.
The September Edition of BLUFSF HARD will be held on Friday, September 11th at the SF Eagle in San Francisco.
