On Saturday, October 17th, we hosted a Special Edition of BLUFSF CUERO at the Bolt in Sacramento. BLUFSF was asked to participate in the 8th Anniversary of the Sacramento Leather Invasion by hosting a fundraiser for the Invasion’s beneficiary, The Trevor Project.

ABOUT THE SACRAMENTO LEATHER INVASION
Started in 2018 by Dustin “Daddy Black Widow” Thurman, the Sacramento Leather Invasion was created to bring the Leather Community together for a celebration of the people, culture, and spaces that make Sacramento special. Thurman passed away in 2021 but that did not mean it was the end. In 2022, the Invasion was revived to honor the legacy of Daddy Thurman and his efforts to bring the Leather Community together. Since its revival, the event has grown and has served as one of the Sacramento Valley’s most visible Leather events. 2026 saw it celebrating its 8th anniversary and the first time BLUFSF has participated.
Every Leather Invasion includes special guests; for this instance, BLUFSF’s own Organizer SIR Aaron Wolf has asked to be a guest for his efforts in representing in the Northern California Leather Community. The roster of Special Guests was impressive that included Mister San Francisco Leather 2026 Johnny Rodriguez, Mister Bolt Leather 2019-2026 Estefan Retiz, Mister Reno Leather 2026 Devin, and current Mister Bolt Leather Tony Webb.

For this special edition, the night’s beneficiary was The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. The Trevor Project provides information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round.
The cache of prized contained gear from Oxballs, Kookie Leather, and a gallon of Spunk lube that inspired intrigue with all who perused the prize table. At night’s end, a grand total of $1,000.00 was raised for The Trevor Project. The donation was made to the BLUFSF Fundraising page where contributions are still being accepted.
